Roll Dawgs!

So, on this day, I refused to let sweet boy wear Mississippi State, but decided to play fair! We say "Roll Dawgs" on days like these.
Crue also laughed for the first time today! Possibly the sweetest little sound ever!

Three months in a blink of an eye...

Today my sweet boy turned three months old. I feel like I brought him home only yesterday. I now understand why everyone always says, "don't blink." He has grown and changed so much, way too fast.

There are definitely days when I sit and wish I could bottle us up in time and he would just stay a baby. Words do not describe my love for him, and I can't even attempt to try or I will fall apart in the middle of this post!

I remember the day Crue was born like it was yesterday! I had such an easy delivery and it almost made time go by too quickly. It was a very special and intimate moment between Mitch and I. Honestly, I tried to talk Mitch out of looking. But now, I'm so glad his stubbornness prevailed.

I will never forget looking into our baby's eyes for the first time. Crue only had to stay in the hospital overnight and we were home in a little over twenty-four hours. I will admit, I was a little terrified.

From our first night home, to his first "real" smile on the morning or Mitch's twenty-seventh birthday, we are now sitting in our new home and our precious baby is three months old. I have looked at him literally all day long. I want to be able to remember every smile, every cry, and every coo.

I love you Crue Howell Moreland; more than life itself. I am so lucky to have the two very best boys in my life. You have changed mommy in a way words can not explain. I love you and your daddy more and more each and every day.

Mealtime: You eat 5 ounces every four hours.
Bedtime: Your have always been a good sleeper. At three weeks, you were sleeping eight hours at night. Now, you sleep between eleven and twelve.
Personality: It seems like you smile literally all day. You are such a happy baby. You have definitely discovered your tongue and you now like to make spit bubbles. You love it when mommy and daddy say "I love you." It's almost like you think it's silly.
Clothing: Mommy has definitely enjoyed dressing you! The month of October, you have worn pumpkins, spiderwebs, ghosts, and all of the Halloween necessities. Let's not forget your leg warmers! I got you your first Northface jacket and can't wait to out it on you! You wear a size two in diapers and still have some room to grow.

I will remember this little face forever!

Three months have definitely flown by. But, they have been the best three months of my life!

Slowly but surely...

We have been in our house for a little over a week now and I still feel like I am up to my eyeballs in boxes and just a mess! I try to clean as I go and it does absolutely no good!

So, I have come to the "oh well" point! Mitch hung a few things for me today, but the ones that make me smile are, of course, in the baby's room!

While we tried to get some things put away in their places, we couldn't help to get distracted by this sweet face!

Ugh! I die! This little one, he is my world!

Little Moments

Moments... Such an average word that has such powerful meaning. Moments... A word who's simple meaning is a specific point in time.

We all experience those moments of laughter, sorrow, excitement, the unknown. My life has had all of these moments in the last three years. My sweet Mitch fills my life with laughter and has this way of making me smile even when I am in the worst mood. There are moments where I miss my friends and family so much it hurts. The life of a baseball wife isn't always a life that is desirable. Yes, there are definitely perks, but at times, it seems I spend the majority of my time missing Mitch than I am actually with him. Then there is excitement. I spent most of this last year living in those kind of moments! From marrying my best friend, to finding out we were expecting our first baby three weeks later, planning his big arrival, and jumping headfirst into being a mommy. There really isn't another way to describe those moments.

All of those lead me to the unknown. I catch myself sitting and holding Crue and can't seem to let my brain be still. Am I doing this right? Will I teach him all of the things he needs to know to have good morals? What will he like to do? What will he be? Will he ever know how much I love him? And then, I have to remind myself, again, to breathe. Because in reality, only one of those questions really matter... I want my baby boy to have the best, and to be the best he can possibly be. But, the most important thing to me is that he knows how much he is loved. I have realized that no matter where we are, or what we are doing, moments to be cherished are being made.

I take pictures of my sweet baby what seems to be all day, everyday because so many things happen and change so quickly. I will look back at moments from today a week from now and wonder how this time has gone by so quickly. But I am certain, that I can always pull these sweet memories out and know how blessed I am to have these "moments."

Catching Up and Staying Dedicated

So, as I post my second blog ever, I have so many things to catch up on!

We have been back in Birmingham for a week now and it feels great! We absolutely love our new house. It has been so much fun rummaging through all of our wedding gifts and finally giving them a home! In the midst of all of our boxes and dusty floor, I have to remind myself that this will take some time and that I need to breathe!

My sweet baby finally has a nursery and I am definitely having to so things backwards! The normal mom would have a nursery finished months before the new baby arrives! As for me, well, I had my baby first! But honestly, it is perfect! The ideas I would have used before have somewhat changed now that Crue is here! Now, I am "matching" what reminds me of my sweet boy!

Here is sneak peek of what is becoming his room...

I m absolutely in love with the details of his furniture and bedding!

After we bought out house, I kind of stressed about the whole decorating thing! Here are a few of my new pieces!!

I can't wait to see the finished results, and I know it won't happen tomorrow, so I have to be reminded that "patience is a virtue!"

Let the blogging begin!

I am definitely new to the blogging world, and it will probably take some time for me to really get going! I  decided to start a blog for a few different reasons. One, I have had several friends ask/tell me that I needed to. Two, we definitely do not live what most would call a "normal" life. But the biggest reason for me is because I learned from my sweet friend, Jennifer, that it is a GREAT way to document special memories from our baby boy's precious life!

Now, I have a LONG way to go before I am at Jennifer's level of blogging, but I think this will be fun ride!

I hope you enjoy following these Moments with the Moreland's!

Always,

I married my best friend and precious husband, Mitch, November 13, 2011. Just three short weeks later we were suprised to find out that we would be welcoming our first baby in August! Crue was born on July 25, 2012 and has completely melted our hearts!

We live a very different lifestyle that is based around baseball and traveling. Mitch has been blessed to be a part of the Texas Rangers and is their first baseman. I miss my husband when he is gone, but our time is so precious when he is home! Together we share a love for a cup of coffee in the mornings, good steak dinner, hunting, movies, and first and foremost, Jesus.

Mitch is definitely my better half and keeps me grounded in realizing the more important things in life. He would definitely rather spend his time outdoors. If we ever had to "Live off the Land," we would be okay! I, on the other hand, love to shop! I love all things SWANK and Restoration Hardware!

This blog was designed to capture the memories we will cherish forever and to help our friends and family keep up with our lives!
